Ryan Longwell signed with the Vikings on a 5 year contract. Longwell's issues with the holders in GB and saying that he wanted to no longer kick outdoors at Lambeau is well documented. No real surprise here that he signed elsewhere. I had mused with some Viking fans about 2 months ago that I thought the Vikes would sign him. Turns out that is what was going to happen.
Longwell was the best kicker the Packers have had and was perfect for the conditions of Lambeau. Sad to see him go. Longwell was salvaged from SF scrapheap 9 years ago, let's see if TT can create the same magic with another kicker.
